Atlanta Olympics

Superior raised Atlanta's Olympic Dreams to new heights

Long before the first Olympic record was set at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, Superior was part of the Olympic spirit.

Everything about the Centennial Games was big ... and that meant having the right equipment, the experience, and the best people to get the job done.

From flames and stars, to steel Coke bottles and a Japanese sculpture, from the stadium scoreboard and lights, to miscellaneous steel erection at the Field Hockey and Aquatics venues, Superior's crews gave their all to meet the tight deadlines.

But probably our greatest Olympic memory was erecting the tower and finally placing the huge Olympic cauldron that cradles the flame. It was a once-in-a-lifetime assignment, and Superior rose to the occasion and made it perfect.

Superior Rigging & Erecting is proud to have been part of Atlanta's Olympic Team.
